This Week in IPOs — Three Records Converge on One Window

October 17, 2026ipospipeline

Jio, Zetwerk, and GCash price or list within days of each other, Dangote's offer book closes, and two fresh mandates join the pipeline.

Most weeks in the IPO calendar have one headline deal and a scattering of filings behind it. This week has three deals that each claim a national listing record, landing in the same ten-day stretch, plus a refinery offer that just closed its books and two brand-new banking mandates. The clustering is itself the story: when national-record deals compete for the same investor attention span in the same fortnight, allocation decisions get harder, not easier.

Jio Platforms sets the band for India's largest-ever IPO

Reliance Industries' telecom and digital-services arm set its price band at ₹1,065–1,119 per share this week, targeting a fresh issue of up to roughly ₹30,200 crore (about $3.1–3.2B) — enough to make Jio Platforms India's largest-ever IPO at a valuation of up to roughly ₹10.3 lakh crore (~$107–108B). That's below the ~$123B figure that had circulated earlier in the year, a gap that reflects a broader Indian equity selloff rather than anything specific to the company. The anchor book opens October 19, the public issue window runs October 21–23, and listing is expected October 28. The deal is tracked, alongside its backers (Meta, Google, and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund among them), in Zorro's upcoming IPO pipeline — we covered the valuation-band mechanics in more detail in Jio Platforms' IPO: Why It's Pricing Above Bharti Airtel.

Zetwerk prices into the same window

India's second record-chaser this week is smaller in absolute size but no less notable for its anchor list. Zetwerk, the Bengaluru-based contract manufacturer, set its price band at ₹143–151 per share for a ₹5,012 crore issue, implying a valuation of up to roughly ₹25,583 crore (~$2.9–3.0B). Its anchor book opened October 14 with more than 30 institutional investors — ADIA, Norges Bank, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, SBI, and HDFC Asset Management among them — and the public issue runs October 15–19, with listing expected October 23, five days ahead of Jio's own debut. The two deals' timing had already diverged once this month, a point we explored in This Week in IPOs — India's Two Biggest Deals Diverge; this week the calendars overlap again, with Zetwerk's listing now sitting inside Jio's subscription window.

GCash closes its retail offer, heads toward Monday's listing

In the Philippines, Mynt — the operator of the GCash super-app, jointly owned by Globe Telecom, Ant International, and Ayala Corporation — priced its IPO at ₱6.60 per share after strong institutional demand. The retail offer ran October 6–12, and the stock is confirmed to list on the PSE Main Board on October 20, which would make it the Philippines' largest-ever IPO. We laid out why most of the roughly ₱92.3B raise bypasses the company itself (it's structured heavily as a secondary sale by existing owners) in GCash's IPO: Why Most of the ₱92.3B Raise Skips the Company. Once it lists, it joins the growing list of 2026 debuts tracked in Zorro's recently-priced IPO tracker.

Dangote's offer book closes in Nigeria

Africa's own record-sized deal reached a different milestone this week. Dangote Petroleum Refinery's ₦2.1525 trillion (~$1.63B) primary offer of 4.1 billion new shares — a retail-heavy structure with a 15% greenshoe — closed its subscription window on October 13 after opening September 14 under Nigerian SEC approval. Unlike the three Asian deals above, there's no quick turnaround to listing: NGX trading is expected roughly 15 business days after share allotment is finalized, putting the debut near early December. We walked through why the offer is fixed-price rather than book-built — a structural choice, not an improvisation — in Dangote Refinery's IPO Is Fixed-Price, Not Book-Built.

Two new mandates join the pipeline

Behind this week's four live deals, two new entrants picked banks. Unison, the San Francisco home-equity-sharing company, selected UBS and Cantor Fitzgerald to lead a planned Nasdaq listing seeking up to $500M, with trading potentially starting as soon as November — though no S-1 has been filed and deal terms remain in flux. Separately, Belron — the Belgium-based parent of Carglass, Autoglass, and Safelite, majority owned by D'Ieteren Group alongside CD&R — picked Bank of America, BNP Paribas, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley to prepare a potential Euronext Amsterdam listing valued above €30B (~$35B), with no final decision yet on timing or venue.

The quick comparison

Deal Exchange Raise / size This week's milestone
Jio Platforms NSE/BSE ₹30,200cr ($3.1–3.2B) Price band set; anchor book Oct 19
Zetwerk NSE/BSE ₹5,012cr (~$0.6B) Anchor book open; public issue Oct 15–19
Mynt (GCash) PSE ~$1.5B Priced at ₱6.60; listing Oct 20
Dangote Refinery NGX ~$1.63B Offer book closed Oct 13

Why the clustering matters

A crowded calendar isn't just a scheduling curiosity. Anchor investors — the same sovereign wealth funds, pension managers, and global asset managers who show up across multiple books — have finite capital to commit in any given week, and underwriting banks have finite roadshow bandwidth to run parallel books cleanly. When three record-sized deals compete for the same pool of anchor demand inside the same ten days, each deal's final allocation and aftermarket trading can be shaped as much by what else was pricing that week as by its own fundamentals. That's a reason to read a single IPO's "oversubscription" figure in context rather than in isolation — and part of why Zorro's pipeline view groups deals by timing window rather than just by sector or geography.
